Campus Safari #8

Since we've been talking about advisors and majors in class, I decided to do this weeks campus safari on how to get an advisor in your major. Coming into college I already knew what I wanted to major in, and hopefully it doesn't change. I chose Communication disorders and I do plan on sticking with it. The office is located in Davis hall. I didn't get a chance to go over there, but all the e-mails I receive tell me how to get an advisor.  I get the impression that freshmen don't get an advisor just yet because they haven't gotten into the program, but they are more than welcome to go into the office and talk to somebody. But, freshmen can sign up to make an appointment by October 18th. It also says that if you have not met the requirements (3.0 gpa in CMD classes, and an accumulative gpa, then you must go to wintergreen for advising. To get more information, i decided to go on SCSU's website, and go to the communication disorders webpage.http://www.southernct.edu/communicationdisorders/
It told me who the professors were, and who I could contact if I had any questions. It actually gave me a lot of information and I'm really happy that I decided to check it out. Hopefully i'll get a chance to head down to Davis and actually talk to somebody.
